Emilie Fairbanks attended Georgetown University Law Center and graduated in 2004. She was a law clerk in the District of Columbia Superior Court for two years and an associate for the firm of Schuman & Felts from 2007 to 2011. She has extensive experience in landlord-tenant law and family law in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She performs pro-bono service for survivors of domestic violence and has served as a guardian ad lidem in child custody cases.
In her spare time, Emilie enjoys running, pilates, yoga, and reruns. She grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and has lived in Idyllwild, California, Great Barrington, Massachusetts, and Blacksburg, Virginia. She has lived in Washington for eleven years and considers herself a Washingtonian.
